My Divine Mission

​Hello and welcome to Divine Designs Jewelry.

My name is Elizabeth Klabuhn.

I am the owner (with the help of my amazing husband), designer, and handcrafter

of the Divine Designs Jewelry line.

I would like to begin by telling you a little about how Divine Designs started.

I started making jewelry as a "hobby" about 6-7 years ago. I am not really sure how long ago.

The reason I am not sure is because in August 2011,

I suffered significant brain damage due to Wernicke-Korsakoff encephylopothy and

then two massive bilateral strokes due to complications following a gastric bypass surgery.

I now have significant mental and physical disabilities.

Before the strokes, I had a photographic memory from age 2.

Now I can not remember by dinner what I had for breakfast.

When my brain stores memories, I can't remember whether it happened 10 hours or 10 years ago.

As for my physical limitations, I now have to use loop crutches to walk properly and not fall.

I don't feel my legs correctly either.

The nerves aren't damaged it is the nerve receptors, that is why I can even walk at all.

Now back to the Divine Designs Jewelry line.

I finally retained the knowledge and ability to make my jewelry again about a year ago.

I know that God gave me that knowledge and ability back

  so that I can feel like a "productive" member of our society again.

You see I had worked since the age of 14 until the strokes. I loved and enjoyed working.

Now by the grace of God, I shall continue to design and handcraft my jewelry. 

My hope is that you all will enjoy and cherish my jewelry.

I will also carry handcrafted products made by others who share the vision of Divine Designs.
